The Worst Breakfast Foods to Eat

Sugar and Gluten Free Foods | 30.08.2010 20:45 | No Comments

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so it’s crucial to fuel your body with the proper energy to get you motivated.  Many of us are guilty of eating on the run, which results in poor food choices that could find us snacking on junk food only a couple of hours later.  Staying educated about the best food choices for breakfast ensures that you’ll do the right thing as a habit, even when you’re on automatic pilot in the morning.

Stay away from sugary cereals.  While they may give you fond memories of years past, sugar is notorious for adding inches to your waistline.  Though you feel temporarily hyped up, sugar burns quickly and will cause you to crash only a couple hours after eating.  This leads to the vicious cycle of reaching for the junk food prior to lunch time, destined to repeat the same thing that happened with your morning meal. Achieving quick weight loss is impossible with too much sugar in your diet.  Sugar drains energy fast.  Just say no to any cereal your kids rave about.  Instead, try a whole grain cereal that’s high in dietary fiber.  This will leave you feeling full longer without the crash and burn you get from other cereals.

Since carbohydrates are sugar, cut these out for maximum effect.  Carbs do the same thing as the refined sugar you find in cheap cereals.  This means staying away from the donut shop and those cute pastries you buy with your coffee.  Even breads, which are not as high in sugar, can have the same effect.  If you crave something sweet in the morning, try mixing sliced fresh fruit in yogurt.  The sugar in fruit doesn’t break down as quickly as refined sugar does, meaning your body will not get the same surge as it does from a donut or pastry.  If you’re constantly on the go, try a protein shake.

Be careful what you put in your coffee.  Drinking coffee itself is not as dangerous as the things you add to it.  Stay away from using heavy creams, flavored syrups or heaps of sugar.  There are many tasty substitutes available today including fat-free milk, soy milk, raw sugar, sugar-free syrups and flavored powders.  If someone makes it for you, be sure to request these items.  Many of them taste a little different, but you will get used to them quickly.  The caffeine in coffee is a stimulant, so avoid drinking too much as you will experience a crash similar to that of sugar.

We all know how important it is to make sensible choices for our diet not only at breakfast, but throughout the entire day.  If appetite is a problem, there are many natural appetite suppressants such as hoodia available to help you through those times when cravings are at their highest.  Don’t forget to exercise, too.

Lower Blood Sugar Levels Via Natural Ways

Sugar and Gluten Free Foods | 29.08.2010 7:53 | No Comments

A diabetic’s body does not produce enough insulin to manage the sugar levels within the body. Therefore, it is important that the diabetics strictly follow a charted plan of foods to lower blood sugar strict diet. A diet high in fiber, but low in fat is most often recommended for diabetics. Before listing out the tips on how to lower Blood Sugar, one must be acquainted with what actually High Blood Sugar means. It is precisely defined as an elevated level of the sugar glucose in blood otherwise phrased as ‘the spillage of glucose into the urine (glucosuria) converting the urine sugary. Good food for diabetes includes raw, edible vegetables such as soft root crops, dark, green and leafy vegetables and brightly colored vegetables. On the one hand, if a person already has these foods on his or her diet to begin with, then diabetes would not become part of the equation in any case. Intake of low carb diet is perhaps the most well known way to reduce blood sugar level. Good examples of low carbohydrate foods include soy milk, pearled barley, and kippered herring. High fiber foods such as dry beans, oatmeal, bran or raisin bran cereal, whole grain bread and peanuts help to manage diabetes. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. The French bean also termed kidney beans are a wonderful choice. If cooked properly they have an amazing taste. These beans are rich in fiber and proteins with a reasonable amount of complex carbohydrates. The dietitians strongly recommend French beans to diabetics to lower blood sugar level. Another thing you can do is get off of simple carbs. White bread, refined sugar, white potatoes, all of these can make your blood sugar levels spike. If you’re craving sweet stuff, go for sugar free snacks. Proteins such skinless chicken or turkey and fish are also great foods that lower blood sugar levels. Low-fat dairy products such as cheeses and milk are also beneficial. Drinking unsweetened tea helps you regulate normal glucose levels in blood because it acts as a blocker for sugar. Green tea is best in effectively generating lower your blood sugar levels after having eaten foods that are high in sugar. It should be noted, however, that you shouldn’t take too much sugar with the thought that the tea can regulate it itself. Twice of thrice of tea intake is recommended for diabetics. Vitamins are constantly being innovated to be able to cure or help regulate a lot of diseases in a person’s body, one of which is diabetes. You can get a prescription or some health advice from your doctor with regards to the kinds of vitamins you can take everyday. If not, just make sure that the vitamins you buy are made from natural herbs and plants to avoid any side effects. Drinking herbal tea aside from the usual 8 glasses of water can also contribute to your efforts to regulate blood sugar that have gone down severely. It contains compounds that act as a sugar blockage, which not only helps in reducing the unwanted amount of sugar in the body but also reduces the chances of being diabetic for life.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (Ibs)-Symptoms And Natural Remedies

Cakes | 29.08.2010 6:05 | No Comments

Q. I am 22 and have suffered from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) for eight months. I have tried Western treatments, acupuncture, and cut out dairy and wheat from my diet, but nothing helps the severe bloating. What can you suggest?

A. Irritable bowel syndrome is a common name for a conglomerate of bizarre, unlinked symptoms. The word ‘syndrome’ refers to a collection of symptoms, which, unlike a disease, have no clearly identifiable cause. Since an actual cause for the abdominal symptoms you and countless others suffer is unknown, doctors often treat it in the same way as a stress-related problem, offering antidepressants and drugs for symptomatic relief. My opinion is that there are various possible causes, as listed below, and I often do a tongue diagnosis to find out. Sometimes, however, infections of the gastrointestinal tract or parasites in the gut are the real culprits.

An overgrowth of the fungus candida albicans (a type of yeast, which is fed by sugar) will cause bloating, gas, abdominal cramps and lethargy an hour after eating gluten-containing foods (ie, pasta or piz’a), and fungal infections, such as athlete’s foot or mouth ulcers. The signs to look for on the tongue are a heavy, white, furry coating and deep cracks.

Excess stomach acid leads to indigestion, heartburn, acidity in the mouth, a feeling of fullness, bloating (30 to 40 minutes after meals when the stomach acid mixes with bile and other intestinal secretions), irritability when the stomach is empty, and/or unbearable hunger pants. The signs to look for on the edges of the tongue are red markings and/or teeth-like impressions with semicircular ridges and serrations.

Diverticulitis, a condition where a pan or parts of the colon blow up due to repeated and excessive gas formation, causes stool masses to accumulate in these sacs. This results in constipation, and then diarrhoea when they are full. If the two are alternating, the chances are that you have diverticulitis.

Constipation causes flatulence and/or lower abdominal bloating. The tongue will have a thick white coating at the back.

Since you have excessive bloating, it seems likely that you have excess stomach acid, and there is also a possibility of candida or yeast overgrowth in the gut. Although I can’t  diagnose the exact cause, I will give you a general treatment plan. Stick to the following regime for three months:

Breakfast Porridge with milk cottage cheese with manuka honey; soft boiled or poached eggs; rice or oat cakes; peeled apples or pears, melon, banana, papaya with live yoghurt and drink mint tea.

Main meal Soft and overcooked foods such as minced meal chicken and turkey (grilled, steamed or poached); fish without skin; mushy white rice; lentils (well soaked first); mashed potatoes and other root vegetables; heads of cauliflower, broccoli and asparagus; plain wheat-free pasta with olive oil, and rice pudding or custard sweetened with manuka honey.

Snacks Oat or rice cakes; pancakes (made with non-wheat flour); fruit (from the breakfast list); hazelnuts and walnuts.

Strictly avoid yeast produces; citrus fruits; hard nuts, including almonds and  peanuts; rich curries; chillies; fried and canned foods; white wine; champagne; beer, and excess sugar.

Eat slowly, chewing your food thoroughly. Drink two glasses of water when you wake up, then massage the abdomen clockwise. Drink water 30 to 45 minutes either side of a meal and only take sips during a meal, if you wish.

Rest for ten to l5 minutes after lunch to activate digestion.

Exercise Walk for five to ten minutes after your evening meal. Find out more about controlling various digestive problems through diet in my book Dr Ali’s Nutrition Bible.

Supplements Detox Powder: for three months, soak half a teaspoon in a cup of hot water at night and drink first drink in the morning to help candida or yeast overgrowth. Calciprite (Rasastrala): take one tablet twice daily for three months to regulate stomach acid and reduce gas. lf constipated, take Qurs Mullayan : one at bedtime for two months. Avoid over-the-counter painkillers.

Yoga Practise the cleansing breath twice daily. Sand or sit comfortably, arms loose, upper back straight and shoulders back Close your mouth, look straight ahead and inhale deeply through your nose. Then breathe out quickly, pulling in your stomach. Pause, then repeat 25 times. (For more details, see Therapeutic Yoga by Dr Ali and Jiwan Brar.

Foods That Eases The Discomfort Of Pms

Cakes | 28.08.2010 11:45 | No Comments

PMS known as Premenstrual Syndrome affects about one-third and one half of American Women. Symptoms vary for each individual, there are about 150 symptoms known, some are breast tenderness, anxiety and food cravings. PMS usually occurs about 10 days to 2 weeks before the menstruation.

Many don’t know but food can make a huge difference when it comes to going through the cycle. Calcium has a mood lifting chemistry. Researcher Elizabeth R. Bertone-Johnson, ScD compared women who had PMS and those who had mild symptoms for over a ten year period. Her and her team discovered that women who drank or ate 1,200 milligrams of calcium and 400 IU of Vitamin D were less likely to develop mood swings, bloating, pre-period cramps and other related symptoms.

The group had about 4 servings of fat-free or low-fat milk, orange juice, low-fat dairy or yogurt. According to research psychologist James G. Penland, PHD says that calcium controls the hormone in the brain that is known to affect the mood. This mineral also relaxes the muscles which contracts when cramping.

Magnesium also controls mood swings during your period. A number of studies have shown that women who lack magnesium in their bodies are the ones with PMS. If you have low levels of this mineral, you probably have low levels of dopamine, it is a brain chemical that affects the mood, says Melvyn Werbach, MD, assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of California, Los Angeles, and author of Healing Through Nutrition and Nutritional Influencies on Illness.

After doing a study on 28 women for a 2 month period, those who had a serving of 360 milligrams of magnesium a day had less depression, mood swings, bloating, cramps and other symptoms. Vitamin B6 is good for lowering premenstrual syndrome effects such as depression, irritability and fatigue. Vitamin B6 also helps balance hormones by lowering the levels of estrogen says Dr. Werbach.

We tend to have a sweet tooth during PMS because our blood sugar levels tend to be low. No one knows why this happens and when we get the cravings for something sweet it usually isn’t something healthy that comes to mind. Cookies, chocolate, cake, etc are the first to think of. When having these cravings carbohydrates calms the sweet tooth because they absorb more slowly then sugary foods.

Some doctors recommend that we eat whole-grain pasta, whole-grain cereal or bread every 3 hours to control the sugar cravings during PMS. Certain women might not be able to eat wheat because it contains gluten it’s a protein that can increase bloating and weight gain. Good sources of complex carbohydrates are rice cakes topped with a little peanut butter, oatmeal, whole-grain cereal, dried beans, fruits, vegetables and legumes.

Carrots, turnips, and parsnips and dark green leafy veggies like collard greens and mustard greens are concentrated sources of calcium and magnesium. Watch out for foods high in saturated fat too. Fatty foods make premenstrual symptoms worse. Eating foods in Omega-3 fatty acids helps control it as well. Salmon, chunk light tuna and Spanish mackerel are loaded with this nutritional mineral. There are vitamins you can take as well like an Omega-3 health supplement  which relieves muscle cramps. It is also good for healthy hair and nails.

Is It Only The Sugar? Diabetes Awareness

Sugar and Gluten Free Foods | 28.08.2010 0:33 | No Comments

Diabetes is something we hear about often these days. Over 20 million Americans have diabetes.

When the world went fat-free, sugar took over to add taste to otherwise lame tasting foods. Unfortunately there is sugar in most packaged and fast food. You have to really study the labels to see if sugar is added to even seemingly non-sugar needing foods. Take packaged smoked salmon for example. Why do I need sugar in my salmon, or my tomato sauce? In my sushi? Or salad dressing?

Is it only the sugar ?
Omitting the processed sugary snacks, cookies, and foods with sugar added is not the only thing to do for prevention of a potential sugar overload lurking around the corner. Whether you already have diabetes, pre-diabetes, or just want to bring more awareness around sugar into your life, this hopefully will help you out. Most people think that diabetes is only about getting the sugar and simple carbs out of the diet. It is NOT. Meat and dairy plays a role as well. Surprise to most of you?

A new study that just came out says that a low-fat vegan diet treats type 2 diabetes more effectively than a standard diabetes diet, according to a study in Diabetes Care, a journal published by the American Diabetes Association. Study participants on the low-fat vegan diet showed dramatic improvement in four disease markers: blood sugar control, cholesterol reduction, weight control, and kidney function.

This is not surprising news to the macrobiotic world though. Michio Kushi has for years recommended wholegrain, especially millet, round sweet vegetable, especially pumpkin, and beans, especially adzuki beans, for diabetes. These are foods that help strengthen the pancreas.

In her book What to Eat, Marion Nestle talks about how children with type 1 diabetes often have antibodies against cow-milk proteins, which might have cross-reacted and destroyed the cells in the pancreas that produce insulin.

In another study, just one egg per day added to the diet of diabetics doubled their risk of heart disease.

And how does meat fit in? Excess meat not only makes you highly acidic, it also affects your pancreas, which then can affect insulin production. Animal fat and saturated fat is actually linked to insulin resistance.

Diabetes Prevention: Where does the sweetness in life come from?
Replace sugary substances with naturally sweet foods; omit cookies and candy. But also remember the fruit juices, sport drinks, and all those so-called naturally sweetened ice-teas.
Watch out for granola bars and other health fakes that promise energy. They are normally loaded with sugar, which indeed gives you energy, here and now. But increased health? No.
Instead blend fruit juices with water, put some fresh lemon in water, have chilled peppermint tea or unsweetened green tea. Choose fresh fruit and nuts instead of granola bars.

Replace refined grain and flour with wholegrain. People who eat wholegrain have a lower risk of diabetes, say researchers at the University of Minnesota. Wholegrain, fiber from grains, and the magnesium found in wholegrain seem to have a positive effect on diabetes, the study concluded.

Refined grain converts to sugar too fast as it does not have the same fiber content as wholegrain. This means omit or at least limit, all refined flour, wheat, tropical fruit, most cold cereals (normally coated in a sweetener), regular refined wheatflour pasta and white rice.

It is also best to omit bread because of the yeast. Yeast can cause bacteria overgrowth and increase mycotoxins, which are linked to diabetes. You can get bread from sprouted grain instead that are actually quite delicious. As for the yeast, this also includes beer, wine, and all other baked goods.

Add more fiber rich food:
-Wholegrain (millet, oats, rye, bran, brown rice, quinoa, barley and buckwheat) – Legumes; beans, lentils, peas. – Have lots of most vegetables. For some root vegetables are fine, for others, be careful with the glycemic index. The more fiber in the vegetables, the slower the sugar is absorbed. Pumpkin is also recommended. – Fresh fruit (dried fruit has a higher glycemic index). – Alkalize with a lot of green food and chlorophyll. Dark leafy greens such as kale, fiber rich green food such as broccoli, brusselssprouts, string beans, asparagus; and green drinks from cereal grasses such as wheatgrass, if you are on a health track. – Limit saturated and animal fats. This means meat and dairy products such as cheese, butter, and milk. There are also mycotoxins found in meat, again linked to diabetes. – Instead, get your healthy fats from foods rich in omega 3. Nuts, seeds, avocado, flaxseed, olive and flaxseed oil. Some fish can be implemented especially those higher in omega 3 fatty acids. (Wild salmon, herring, mackerel, sardines). – And of course, do not forget to exercise, move, breathe, de-stress (stress causes acidity in the body as well)

In his book, The Healing Power of Illness, Thorwald Dethlefsen draws the parallel between the pancreas (the organ weakened in diabetes) and our longing for love. Is that why we crave the sweet stuff?

SO: Since I always come from the perspective of Self-Nourishment, consider where your sweetness in life is coming from. Don’t let it be the substitute of sugar, let it be the real stuff as in good healthy food, nature, love, community, laughter, and some nice ME-time.

In a nutshell:
1. A carefully balanced diet based on whole foods; wholegrain, beans and lentils, vegetables and fruit, plus low in saturated and animal fat.
2. A pure, positive, and creative mind. -Try some meditation. And a loving, open heart. -Especially when it comes to loving yourself.
3. An active lifestyle, which includes work, physical movement, and breathing exercises. -Yoga works well, so does nice walks or bicycle rides.

LIFE IS SWEET AFTER ALL.

Weight Loss Myths in America: How Free Made us Fat

Sugar and Gluten Free Foods | 27.08.2010 9:55 | No Comments

Everyone talks about it. America’s obesity rate is steadily climbing. Well, what are we going to do about it? For those of us who are overweight, there’s plenty to choose from in terms of weight loss programs. But that doesn’t mean that everything works, no matter how popular it is or how “right” it sounds. If you think about it, out of everyone you know, how many people would you say are on diets right now? I would bet about half and that’s on average. But here’s the thing: almost everyone is on a diet but the obesity rate is still climbing! If everyone is seemingly making an effort at losing weight, then why is everyone still continuing to gain weight?
It’s simple. There is so much information out there about how to lose weight but a lot of what is out there are myths, little white lies told to make you feel better about eating food that is just as bad for you as fried chicken. So what do you do? Here are a few myths to look out for:
Weight Loss Myth No. 1: “Fat Free”
The first thing you must realize is that nothing is fat free. It doesn’t matter if the packaging says 2% or 98%, nothing is fat free. The term fat free is a marketing scheme created by the food industry. How so? Think about this: the FDA allows products to be labeled a certain way depending on ratios. For example, if a company wanted to sell something labeled as fat-free, all they need to do is increase the amount of non-fat ingredients so it makes it seem like the fat is tiny in comparison. That may sound great but keep in mind that fat is fat, regardless of ratio. It just will definitely not help you lose weight!
Weight Loss Myth No. 2: “Low Fat”
This is almost as bad as fat free foods. Again, with the ratio of ingredients in a product, a company can claim many things. For example, with cookies, if the ratio was roughly equal between fat and, say, sugar, the company can drastically increase the sugar so that there is something like 4 or 5 times more sugar than fat. And guess what! They can, and do, call it low fat! It’s not low fat! And, with that much sugar, that’s not a good thing either.
Weight Loss Myth No. 3: Fat free cooking sprays
Cooking sprays are not that great and taste horrible. What’s worse, they are full of fat! Yes, they say that there is NO fat and NO calories but read the fine line. How many servings does your can have? A pretty darn high number, right? That’s because companies know that you won’t use the product in the small servings that they state, like a spritz or less. So the 0 fat or calories found in that small of a serving means nothing if you use more than that!
Weight Loss Myth No. 4: “Calorie Free”
There is a little loophole in the FDA rules that allows companies to label something as calorie free if the serving size has 5 calories or less. That might make sense but keep in mind that the companies are the ones that define the serving size. You will find, if you pay attention, that rarely any product is a single serving. Rarely, if ever. Usually, they will have at least 2 or more servings in the package, jello cups included!
Weight Loss Myth No. 5: “Sugar Free”
This one ties in with the calorie free one because a similar loophole allows companies to label things as sugar free, when they’re not. A product can have anywhere from 0.5 grams of sugar or less in the serving and the company can call it sugar free, but clearly it has plenty of sugar in it. And if you think sugar is not as bad as calories or fat, you are totally wrong! Sugar is just as big of a culprit in America’s battle with obesity! Just look at the connection between diabetes and obesity!
So all in all, anything labeled “free” or “low” something is neither of the two. If you really want to lose weight, just avoid those all together! In fact, go with fresh produce instead; you’ll notice that fat, calorie and sugar levels cannot be altered in fresh, organic produce. Make sure that it does not have the letters “GMO” on it, which means genetically modified organism; these are bad. In any case, if you stick with fresh organic produce, you’ll be set!

Planning a Vegan or Vegetarian Wedding

Cakes | 27.08.2010 1:34 | No Comments

In recent times when hosting a party we are growing more concerned with catering to special dietary needs. A good host would never invite a vegetarian friend over for dinner and not provide for their dietary preferences. Your wedding is the first and possibly the biggest party that you will ever host as a couple and so you should remember considering your guests special needs.

You and your spouse to be may also have dietary preferences, it would be no fun if you could not enjoy your the food at your own wedding because it did not cater to your preferences.

Planning a wedding involves many details and the more details that you add the more flustered you could get. Here are some tips for planning a vegetarian and/or vegan wedding.

The first thing I would offer for consideration when planning a special diet wedding is identifying your vegetarian guests and your vegan guests. While it sounds like their needs would be the same, they are not. I have a very good friend and he is a Vegan, I often feel really bad when we are invited to a wedding or formal party. They never know how to cater to him. A Vegan is a strict vegetarian that consumes no animal or dairy products. As in my friends case they might be very specific as to the preparation of their food as well.

Most catering halls will offer vegetarian alternatives, ask them about these alternatives. Chefs are expanding their menus to include delectable vegetarian dishes. Vegetarian cuisine has come into its own and there is no reason to have to settle for pasta primavera or stir-fried veggies. Vegan alternatives are also available even in the dessert area, I have tasted them and they were very delicious. Please be mindful that a plate of broccoli is not a very considerate Vegan alternative. I say this because when I attended a wedding with my friend, this is what they offered him when he stated he was a vegan.

If only one or two of your friends are Vegans consider asking if you could bringing in a specialty dish from a Vegan caterer or restaurant. If your catering hall has a problem with that alternative, you need to stress to them that they are unable to furnish you with the options you need for your guests.

As a couple if you are choosing to have a vegetarian wedding, start by expressing your choices to your family, especially if they are contributing in some way to your wedding. If you are hosting a vegetarian wedding you may have to think in reverse and speak to your caterers about offering some meat options to your guests.

When considering a full vegetarian event you want to consider a caterer that offers a varied and interesting menu. Talk to your caterer feel free to offer recipes or menu suggestions, I am sure they will be happy to be able to add these recipes to their repertoire. Consider a Kosher caterer as their special preparation rules prohibit meat and dairy in the same meal. They would have also have access to countless meatless meal options. A large part of Indian cuisine include vegetarian options as well.

You should definitely aim for a delicious, innovative and varied menu.

Vegan cakes are also on the rise as individuals are facing lactose, gluten and peanut allergies. I have had the pleasure to meet an excellent baker who caters to special dietary concerns when she bakes, Marney from
Vegan or Vegetarian options can extend to other aspects of your wedding. For Cruelty-Free Cosmetics check out PETA’s list of companies on The Caring Consumer”s website.

Donations to various charitable companies are options that some couples choose for their weddings, why not make a donation to an animal shelter or animal rights organization in your guests’ name.

Be Inspired to plan a great vegetarian (vegan) wedding.

What is Food and What it is Not

Sugar and Gluten Free Foods | 26.08.2010 17:27 | No Comments

1. Commercial animals that are used for food are unnatural as in “crossbred, hybrid”. As with commercial produce, their genes are artifically altered by scientists. The “improved” animals that are reproduced from this nonsense are out of balance with Nature. They are continuing to try to improve on the poor pig, as in breeding in flat rumps , giving them level backs, and even toes and such things that will make the animal more “factory ready”.

2. Human genes are being fed to commercial pigs and other animals dead carcasses are being fed to the animals. They are grown in , and fed, poisons and feces just to keep their diseased bodies alive.

Well you might ask, what are they being fed. Okay here goes. Stay with me here:

Animal feed contains DDT, pesticides, hormones, stilbesterol, antibiotics, and tranquilizers.

Cancerous pesticides are fed to animals to keep their manure free of flies.

The diet of commercial chickens include sulfa drugs, hormones, antibiotics, nitrofurans, arsenicals and feces.

Livestock is also fed hugh quanties of often contaminated fish. Yes I said fish-which is not a natural food of cows. And mind you this is what they call “trash fish” that can’t be fixed up to sell to humans. It is fed to factory farm animals solely to enrich the owners of the “factory trawlers” wiping out the fish stocks in our oceans.

The poor pig is routinely fed recycled raw feces-you heard me which is made up of pig/chicken manure waste whcih contains drug residues and high levels of toxic, heavy metals such as arsenic, lead and copper.

In some factories the cattle’s diet may include sawdust laced with ammonia and feathers, shredded newspaper (with toxic ink from print), “plastic hay”, processed sewage, inedible tallow and grease, poultry litter, cement dust, and cardboard scraps, plus insecticides, antibiotics and hormones.

Then to top it off they artificially flavor and scent the concoction to “trick” the animals into eating it. hmmm sound familiar? It should, for essentially this is the delicious and deadly Aerician die-t chemical junk flavored and done up as real food, then deceptively presented to us as good.

Lesson Up People

There is something diabolical going on. The new food thats being created are “Brain Dissolving” in its nature. What is being produced is called “PRION” or to put it in laymens or laywomens terminology it is “Outta Control Protein” which requires the heat of “3500 degrees” to be destroyed. Now I don’t know about your stomach, but whats are regular body tempurature, somewhere around 98.9 degrees F. Hey folks we can’t digest that stuff. Pardon my French but hell, we can barely digest regular flesh.

Okay lets take a look at Fish:

Normally, fish would be the most wholesome animal flesh to consume, but now because of underwater “toxic waste”, eating fish is pretty much just as bad as eating red meat.

The EPA estimates that fish can accumulate up tp 9 million times the level of PCBs in the waters in which they live.

Oh by the way DDT levels in the oceans have damaged a major source of the world’s oxygen supply_ the microscopic Phytoplankton. They also get further contamination from chemicalized ice that they are packed in.

Heres one for ya: Nearly HALF of America’s antibiotics are used on meat animals. In 1991, the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta released figures showing that approximately half of the 15 million pounds of antibiotics produced yearly in America, are used on livestock and poultry. Guess what; Antibiotics and Chemicals cannot protect meats. The U.S. Meat Inspection Services recognizes over 42 diseases whcih make flesh eating dangerous and antibiotics USELESS!

The contiuned eating of antibiotics in animal corpes causes human resistance to medicines and immunity to PENICILLIN.

Okay now lets move on to one of my favorites “white sugar”, I’m not even going to capitalize it because some of my family members passes away from diabeties.

You probably already know that white sugar penetrates through the wall of your stomach and small intestines without being digested, giving you a quick high followed by a later crash. When you eat white sugar of sugar-sweetened food, the sugar bypasses digestion and enters your bloodstream within three minutes, yanking up your gloodsugar level. This gives you the perception of having more energy and a felling of well being. This is shortly followed by a crash in bloodsugar levels (due to the release of insulin from the pancreas) and a depression and drop in energy that tends to be corrected with another dose of sugar. This becomes a dangerous habit, subjecting the body to a yoyo of stimulation, depressionm restimulation which results in damge and diseases.

Natural sugars from fruits and vegetables undergo the digestion process and enter the bloodstream gradually without disrupting bloodsugar balance.

Okay getting good to you huh? Alright now for the down and dirty facts!

Sugar is not food. period It provides absolutely no nutrition!

Sugar is added to almost all foods in supermarkets, including common table salt! You can prove this by reading the labels the nextg time you go shopping, keeping in mind that syrup, corn syrup, dextrose, sucrose, maltose, fructose and any other kind of “ose” is sugar.

Sugar is consumed at the rate of nearly 180 lbs. per American each year, according to the USDA. This is almost a half pound per day or the equivalent of eating 8 pounds of sugar cane or sugar beets per day. The average healthy digestive system can only eliminate 2-4 teaspoons of sugar daily. One 12 ounce cola contains 11 teaspoons of sugar.

Sugar causes “cross linking,” making your flesh and skin stiff and leathery. Cross linking is a condition wherein the cellular membranes become so damaged that they become hardened, stiff and stick together, and their protein strands get entangled in each other. When this happens they can no longer perform their normal function. Thus sugar is stiffening human tissues from the inside out speeding up AGING!

Sugar outrightly kills your cells. Sugar addicts often have high uric acid levels in their blood. Uric acid is a braeakdown product of cellular nuclear material. The implication is that sugar is killing human cells…sweetly the next bullet point will explain why. get ready for this…

White Sugar is almost PURE CARBON! The oxidation of white sugar in the body produces Carbonic Acid. Why? Because white sugar is almost pure carbon! Because since it has no nutrients or organic salts, white sugar breaks down cells in order to furnish the blood withe nexxessary alkaline elements to neutralize the carbonic acid formed by the oxidation of the carbon called sugar.

White sugar is loaded with bleached PIG BLOOD and other STUFF. Now this is not me saying this. An article in the July 1989 issue of Doctor’s Health Review, educates us about this horror: Commerical sugar is made from sugar cane and sugar beets. At one phase of the (beet) sugar “refining” process, “blood albumin from the slaughter house is used” (to flush protein particles out of sugar beets/sugar cane). “also purchased form the slaughter house is bone-black or animal charcoal, which comes from low-grade animals used as a filter to ‘furify’ this mixture called sugar. It is then bleached with a strong bleaching agent referred to as blue water….sixty-five percent of the animals for the markets are swine. Therefore, the slaughter house products being used in processing sugar are derivatives of pork.”

Okay so are you happy. Just kidding. Tomorrow I’ll continue with such topics as healthy fats, good old MILK, Vegetables or should I say so called vegetables. Alright thats it for today, I’ll see you soon

15 Unhealthy Foods That You Think Are Healthy But Are Actually Killing You Slowly

Sugar and Gluten Free Foods | 25.08.2010 14:20 | No Comments

There are many terms that are misleading in the food advertising industry today. Think of how many times you see the following phrases plastered all over food containers:
* Fat Free
* Reduced Fat
* Low Fat
* Sugar Free
* No Added Sugar
* Diet [Insert Product Name Here]
Let us examine some examples of nasty food that is supposed to be healthy:
1. Diet Soda
Why is it good? A sugar free version of the popular carbonated beverage that you can drink on the go.
Why is it bad? OK, so soda is horrible for you, but take out the sugar and add in carcinogenic artificial sweeteners, combined with the artificial flavors and colors that are in all sodas, and you have a recipe for Tumor in a Can. Then of course we have the caffeine factor, which is linked to hyperactivity, high blood pressure, and can mess with your blood sugar.
Instead choose: filtered water and the occasional glass of milk or goats milk
2. Sushi made with white rice and imitation crab meat or vegetables
Why is it good? Seaweed contains essential nutrients such as selenium, calcium, iodine, and omega-3 fats. Sushi is nearly always wrapped in seaweed.
Why is it bad? This garbage does not deserve to be called sushi. They are just small, compact, high glycemic, high calorie, carbohydrate nuggets. There is not even much protein in these things. Eat 3-4 of them and you’ve had your serving for the day. Aside from that, imitation crab meat is not even good for you. It is mostly just a crab flavored tofu-like substance fortified with sugar, sugar, and more sugar.
Instead choose: In order to get some healthy carbs, some high-quality protein, and the benefits of omega-3 fats, choose real sushi made with salmon or tuna. To make it even healthier, order sashimi instead of white rice.
3. Reduced-Fat Peanut Butter
Why is it good? All peanut butter provides a heart-healthy substantial quantity of monounsaturated fat.
Why is it bad? Most commercial peanut butters are made with the same type of sugar that cake frosting is made with. Reducing the fat makes it even worse because even MORE nasty sugar is added and they contain less healthy fat. I would rather just eat the extra calories.
Instead choose: Choose almonds or all natural organic peanut butter instead. Just remember to pour off the top layer of oil and replace it with olive oil if the resulting peanut brick is too stiff. Olive oil is very low in omega-6 fats.
4. Fat-Free or Reduced Fat Salad Dressing
Why is it good? Less fat means less calories. Plus that salad dressing fat is lard just like mayo and Crisco. Sick.
Why is it bad? Firstly because when fat comes out, sugar goes in. Either that or artificial flavors and sweeteners. Secondly, since many vegetables are fat soluble, taking away the fat from the dressing means fewer of the salad nutrients will be absorbed into your body. This was confirmed by a study at Ohio State University wherein a higher fat salad dressing resulted in an increased uptake of the antioxidants lutein and beta-carotene.
Instead choose: A salad dressing made with olive oil, or just use olive oil and vinegar as your salad dressing. If you try it you might like it.
5. Anything made with Soy
Why is it good? It’s not. But in the spirit of argument: vegetarians and vegans eat the stuff so they can get protein in their diets. Yay ::sarcasm:: Plus the stuff is apparently low in fat and an alternative to whey for the lactose intolerant.
Why is it bad? Straight up, soy is linked to lower testosterone and increased estrogen in males, and is also linked to increased breast cancer in women. Soy also promotes hypothyroidism, thyroid cancer, and infertility. Soy is extremely destructive to infants, as it can effect development in many adverse ways.
Instead choose: any high protein whole food such as brown rice, goats milk, coconut milk, almond milk, whole grains, nuts, seaweeds, seeds, beans, and lentils. As a side note, goats milk is considered one of the healthiest foods on the planet today, so give it a try.
6. Fruit Juice, Dried Fruit, and Fruit Cocktail
Why is it good? Well because fruit is good for you. It has a ton of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants; not to mention fiber.
What is it bad? Fruit juice and fruit cocktail normally have sugar added. Some fruit cocktails come in a thick sugary syrup. You get no fiber from fruit juice, and the stuff usually has preservatives added to it.
Instead choose: eat the whole fruit including the skin if possible, but limit it to one serving of fruit per meal/snack to avoid insulin spikes. If you must have fruit cocktail, choose one that comes packed in its own juices instead of syrup.
7. Smartfood (Cheesy Popcorn)
Why is it good? Because cheesy popcorn is oh so tasty.
Why is it bad? Because you are really just eating the popcorn equivalent of potato chips. Seriously, compare total calories and you will find that you are not saving much on the calorie front by eating Smartfood instead of chips.
Instead choose: get some spray butter, pop some plain popcorn, spray a light coat of spray butter on the popped corn, sprinkle various spices on the corn (but go easy on the salts), and shake it up in a bad. Now you have a low fat tasty treat.
8. Beans packed in sugary syrups such as Boston Baked Beans
Why is it good? Baked beans are good for you because these types of beans are loaded with fiber
Why is it bad? The sugary syrup, just as much as in a can of soda, is just going to spike your blood sugar and insulin levels. This is never good for preventing heart disease or type II onset diabetes.
Instead choose: Red kidney beans. These things are packed with protein and fiber, and can be mixed with any sort of salad or pasta. Sometimes I enjoy kidney beans straight out of the can; no cooking, just wash and chow.
9-15. Granola, White Pasta, Pasta Salad, English Muffins, Bagels, Croutons, and Pretzels
Why is it good? Granola has some fiber, pasta salad has some vegetables, croutons make our salad crunchy, English muffins are one step up from bagels, and pretzels are a quick low-fat snack.
Why is it bad? One word: carbohydrates. All of these foods are made with corn syrup and/or processed white flour. These foods will spike your blood sugar faster than Bruce Lee could have kicked you in the face. You also will not get much nutrition in the way of protein, fiber, vitamins, or minerals from any of these foods.
Instead choose: 100% whole grain or whole wheat pasta and English muffins for increased fiber and protein. Egg salad because, like it or not, eggs are good for you and are high in protein. Almond slices are high in omega-3 fats and are crunchy like croutons. Substitute healthy nuts for white starches whenever you can and you too can receive a 30% less chance of heart disease.
